Iliana's Fight Against Cancer Fund

Meet Iliana Ixchel! At the age of 8, Iliana is creative, joyful, talented, and truly and inspiration to us all. She has bravely battled cancer since age 4 and is currently recovering from a bone marrow transplant all thanks to her donor and older brother Romario.

Iliana was diagnosed with Leukemia in November of 2010. She began an intense chemotherapy treatment and after 3 years of treatment she entered into remission in April of 2013. Unfortunately, exactly 1 year later, Iliana landed in the hospital due to a relapse and began her second round against cancer. As a high risk patient, a bone marrow transplant was the next course of action. With a little help from above, we found 3 exact matches in her 3 brothers...truly a miracle! The oldest, Romario, being the most compatible bravely donated his marrow so his sister would have another chance at life. Iliana's struggle has been long, but we are hopeful this long road to recovery will have a happy ending.

Regardless of the circumstances Iliana has always faced her treatment head on and with a smile. She's managed to remain positive & full of life through it all embracing the changes along the way! We are anxiously waiting for her to come home after the holidays and rallying together to help support and fund both medical and living expenses for her.
