YWAM Missions Trip

Aloha everyone,
As many of you know I’ve started back up my walk with Christ after having a few rough months of trying to do life on my own. I put my fear aside, started putting God first again and growing in the church community here in Asheville. Since I’ve done that I’ve already seen God move in my life in so many ways.
One of those ways has been me deciding to step out of my comfort zone and step out in faith by attending my first ever MISSIONS TRIP! I am overjoyed to go out and serve and be apart of something much bigger than myself! I have never been so excited to embark on this journey and I am so ready to see how God uses me and what He does in my own life through this experience!
I will be attending a Discipleship Training Program through Youth With A Mission in Honolulu, Hawaii starting September 20th, 2018 lasting through February 24th, 2019. My trip is split into 2 parts. The first part is 3 months long and is called the Lecture Phase. A typical week includes lectures, worship, quiet times, community outreach, team times, small groups, staff one on one’s, and work duties on the base. Some of the courses I’ll be taking are on evangelism, intercessory prayer, biblical world view, missions, servant leadership, spiritual ware fare, inductive bible study, etc. All of this will be preparing us for the next part of the program.
The second part of my program is 3 months long and is called the Outreach Phase. I will be sent to Philippines, India, Nepal, Cambodia, Indonesia, Fiji, New Zealand, Tahiti, China, Bangladesh, and Thailand. I will be trekking through local villages preaching the gospel, teaching english, taking care of widows and orphans, serving local churches and businesses, praying for the sick to be healed, working on clean water projects or helping
My trip comes at a heavy price with needed to help pay for my flights overseas as well as visas, room and board, food, money to go to the speakers that will be training us during the lesson part of our trip and materials for our outreach portion.
I'm raising $3,000 to help cover part of the cost for my trip, to make up for fees that GoFundMe pulls out (2.9% in total, and $.30 per donation), and any additional money will go towards things I will need during the outreach portion. Everything I receive is a blessing and will all go directly towards my DTS program.
