And yes, contrary to popular belief, in our case, cats and birds get along very well and have become the best of friends :) We strongly feel that once you've made a commit to adopt any animal, you should never leave them behind. We have raised and hand reared Hedwig, named after Harry Potter's owl, since she was 3 weeks old, and she has captured our hearts ever since.
We have arranged for her to stay with a foster mom until we manage to save enough to fly her over, but with unstable situations, lockdowns and finding a stable income, this has proved to set us back further than we hoped. Her foster mom has been such a great help and we don't know what we would've done without her, but unfortunately she can't look after Hedwig for much longer, as she has a bird family of her own to look after too.
There is a lot of paperwork and procedures involved. The funds would go towards her home quarantine, vet check-ups and tests, flights, export documents and customs clearance. We would be so happy for your help in reuniting us. I wouldn't know where to begin to say thank you, as my husband and I do not have children of our own, we are such huge animal lovers and the way we see it, they are our children.
