Will you help me fly to Blackbird Studios in Nashville?
I am India Dupriez and music is my passion. I am 15 years of age and I am working very hard to fulfil my dream of recording my music in Nashville, Tennessee. I have been invited to write and record my own single at the world famous Blackbird Studios in Early 2019- where Keith Urban, Adele and Taylor Swift have recorded their music - and I simply don't have the funds to get me there.
When I was 10 years old, I sang a Bruno Mars song at school; I had a raw and undeveloped talent. At 12 I was involved in a community theatre group where I was given a small cameo role as a ghost. It was during this performance that my family and I realised I could hold a tune and better still, I enjoyed it. To develop my gift, I joined Vocal Adrenaline Performing Arts (VAPA) under the tutorship of Danielle LoPasso who is helping me find and define all that I can achieve with my voice.
I work very hard to enrich my performances, to engage an audience and to ultimately achieve my dream of sharing my passion with you; my audience; my supporters; I have busked, entered many competitions, joined open mic events, and donated my time for others to raise funds for various charities. I give to my community wherever I can.
Recently I was invited to perform my first single 'Stay' on Toasted TV on Channel 11 and the experience was rewarding. I have achieved many things in my 15 years but I want to keep working on my craft of writing and singing my own music.
I saved $1000 of my own money from busking, gigs and winnings; however, I need your help to fly me to my dream. I am trying to raise $10000. This money will be used for not only travel to America but will be an investment in to my writing and studio recording time, mixing and session musicians. This entire experience will result in a quality single which will be entirely mine and I'd love nothing more than your help by playing a massive part on my amazing musical journey.
