Fly Away from Venezuela

We are a group of friends and co-workers working for a global company based in Nashville, Tennessee. Our co-worker, Luis, is a young Venezuelan living in Chile.  He works hard at his job in litigation management, always tries to do his best, and has a positive attitude on life.  His smile is contagious.  But, in reality, it is hard for him to remain upbeat because conditions in Venezuela have become very difficult for his elderly parents there.  Access to food, medicines and health care is limited, and it is becoming increasingly unsafe for them to live life there on their own, being so isolated.  Sending them food and medicine does not help because organized criminals intercept deliveries at the border.  Luis plans to bring them to live with him in Chile and is looking for accommodations to suit the whole family.  Because of the isolationist policy adopted by the Venezuelan government, travel from Venezuela is challenging - and expensive.  Although he would never ask for help, we know that helping Luis with at least the cost of their travel (estimated at $1,500 - $2,000 per ticket) would make him feel less alone in this effort.  Will you please contribute something to help Luis bring his parents to Chile from Venezuela?  Anything you could offer would surely help keep a smile on his face.  We are hoping to collect enough in a U.S. bank account for the ticket by September 15th and transfer it to Luis either via PayPal or the equivalent (Venmo, etc.) or purchase the plane tickets directly for his parents.  We have not used his surname because he does not know that we are doing this for him.  The GoFundMe folks are encouraging us to disclose the names of Luis' parents, but I am concerned about exposing them to risk in Venezuela from doing so.
