Donations for Centro Cristiano de Columbia Church

This is a fundraiser for Centro Cristiano De Columbia Church on Decker Boulevard. On Sunday August 25, a gunman entered the church during services and demanded money. The gunman fired into the air and shot one of the church members before fleeing in a car. The church member who was shot is in critical but stable condition.
We are collecting donations from the Nextdoor Sandwood neighborhood group and beyond to send a large bouquet of flowers to Centro Cristiano De Columbia Church for Sunday, September 8 services (up to $200). If more than $200 is raised, it will be donated directly to the church. I asked if there was anything they needed and Pastor Alfaro mentioned that they are trying to raise funds to get the shooting victim's father here from Guatemala. Esvin Perez, 23, has been in the hospital since last week. He had to undergo surgery. I expect that any funds we are able to donate (beyond the $200 for flowers) will go towards this expense.
The deadline for this fundraiser is Saturday September 7. I plan to place the flower order on Thursday morning, September 5.
I spoke with Pastor Henry Alfaro Mora to arrange delivery on Sunday September 8, 1 pm, at the church (2401 Decker Blvd.). Sandwood Neighbors who wish to accompany/meet there to make the gift are welcome!
