Flourish! Sharing culture & building communities
Do you want to join me in making a difference by bringing communities together? I am currently raising funds in aid of Arts at the Intersection – a project of registered charity Spirit of the Peace, to deliver their in-person and/or events programme.
Your generous donation will help to bring majority and minority communities together for an opportunity to create friendships, enjoy typical cuisines from different cultures to FLOURISH, together! These events are built to create long-lasting friendships of trust, enabling individuals from multicultural backgrounds to meet and form relationships, that would not have otherwise been able to take place. After a year of hardship from the COVID-19 pandemic, these events are designed to bring enjoyment to all and happiness to the community. Our sole aim is to help bring strong and long-lasting connections to help to contribute to individual and community wellbeing.
We would now like to bring people back together for outdoor events to continue this work and are currently planning two in-person events (summer/autumn) this year.
Your kind donation will help to:
- Fund local community members who would like to take part, but who don’t have the resources to attend and to contribute their skills
- Fund venue costs
- Purchase outdoor equipment such as folding tables and two simple gazebos for shelter in case of adverse weather!
- Purchase suitable art materials and simple musical instruments for group participation, which breaks down barriers between groups and enables groups to seamlessly get to know one another
- Purchase ingredients to enable people of different cultures to cook and share their cuisine with participants taking part in our events
(Equipment and art materials will also be used at future community events, in our ongoing programme).
Due to the Covid pandemic, we have held a series of online events and we have some wonderful feedback below from events that have been run in the past.

I enjoyed the dual cultural connections and the opportunity to participate in the art activity and chat rooms at the end. I am sure there is much to develop but this will become a stimulating and supportive event for anyone who is involved.”
