To our dear Flour Craft friends & family,
We made the soul-crushing decision on Wednesday to close our San Anselmo store starting Sunday this week and suspend all retail operations there until at least April 7th. While our Mill Valley store remains open for now, we have drastically cut operations and hours there.
We have laid off or greatly reduced hours to our entire team of 25 people. This inspiring team of bakers, baristas, line cooks & prep cooks is made up of the most earnest, hard-working people we know, many of whom have been with us for several years. They are truly our family.
We have every intention of re-opening and rebuilding the moment the shelter- in- place order is lifted for Marin County but without the commitment of government relief, and constantly changing restrictions from the State of CA, we are turning to our community to help provide a safety net for our staff during this uncertain time.
100% of all donations will go directly to our team members who were laid off or whose hours have been cut. These are the people who have helped bring joy and quality food to you every day and who are part of our direct community.
We know we are not alone in this. All small businesses are suffering, especially food businesses, and we will all get through this together. In the meantime, we are working tirelessly behind the scenes and doing everything humanly possible to keep our business alive and ready to go the minute we can re-open. We have every intention of rehiring our entire team and cannot wait to reunite us all together again in celebration.
As a thank you, our top 10 donors will receive an assortment of a dozen Flour Craft baked goods as soon as as we get back up and running at full capacity.
