<div>My name is Micah. I am a 21-year-old university student who was homeless and couch-surfing for the last 2 years until July, while working full-time as well. While the gallbladder surgery was covered, I was kicked off Medicaid without legal notice or reason. Immediately after, I experienced a loss in health and quality of life, and multiple infections. I still have not gotten an explanation after many phone calls and hours waiting. Multiple government agents agreed something was wrong with my case and escalating; I never heard back from any of those people. I have since worked for months for case action, been denied, appealed, and denied again. They kept sending physical documents to me... as a homeless person who was without an address until July 1st, leading to denials before I even saw paperwork, and leading to more delays despite me fixing it multiple times on record, filling out everything online, and it being changed back without permission.

<div>Since starting this GoFundMe, I have lost close to 70 pounds, have had at least 7 infections, had emergency surgery where they removed my gallbladder, have sleeping issues, and lost my mother figure in June. I need people to know that I did my best and was failed every time because all the blame is put on me.

<div>Having Me/CFS, cPTSD, hEDS, and daily constant bladder issues has made it hard for me to function much, and even harder to focus, even to write. If I were to get adequate care and treatment, I would probably be fully functional and able to do everything I need to do like usual, but the lack of accommodation needed for my disabilities is preventing that.
