Flores Family: Fire destroyed home

The Flores family lost their home and all possessions March 28th, 2016 in a home fire located in Tucson, Arizona. The 6 member family along with 3 pets have now been displaced. The family had three generations live in this home; over the span of 50+years. The father Eugene is a teacher within the Tucson Unified School District at Doolen Middle School. Mr.Flores was the only member home when the event took place. He was resting in his bedroom when he awoke to clashing noises and a room full of smoke. Thankfully he had the door closed... which Tucson Fire Department credits minimizing the damage done to his bedroom. The fire department found him just as they were getting ready to exit the home; as it was becoming a danger to be within. Soon after they found the family's puppy huddled under a bed and exited the area. Eugene was treated for smoke inhalation at a near by hospital. The family is thankful that they were able to get him and the puppy out in time. Although the house and belongings are gone the family states they are happy to be alive and that noone was harmed during the event. They are currently living in a nearby hotel thanks to the help of The Red Cross for providing a hotel voucher.(UPDATE: 4/4/16 THE FAMILY WAS ABLE TO AFFORD A 3BEDROOM APARTMENT...
