Florence's Valentines Day Legacy of Love

It is difficult to write when you can't see the keyboard properly through the tears, but with great sadness I have to report that Florence passed on in her sleep during the night.

It's hard to recall the times when Florence wasn't here at the Sanctuary as she was one of the first pigs we ever rescued and in my mind seems to have been omnipresent.

She arrived as a tiny girl having been bought as a pet who had then been handed into the wildlife hospital, who in turn had re-homed her with us many, many years ago.

A firm favourite with the volunteers over the years, she was a real character (they all are of course) but she had a particularly cheeky way which ensured she received slightly more than her fair share of treats.
