Hello everyone,
My name Is Lilith and Flora is my 7 year old bunny who has been unfortunately chronically ill since she was a baby.
She has gone through multiple surgeries, procedures and ER visits for tooth abscesses, ear infections, skin issues and multiple GI stasises ever since she was only a few months old.
A year ago she developped an ulcer on her right eye which we had thought had healed completely. However, the ulcer has grown and is now starting to cover her eye and affect her vision.
Today, the vet confirmed that she will need recurring ophtalmological visits and procedures to prevent her ulcer from getting infected and taking over her whole eye.
I am still a university student and over the years I have paid almost 6000$ in veterinary medical bills for Flora and while I hate to ask for it, this time, I need some help in covering the medical bills to come.
The vet estimated that the first 2-3 visits would cost around 1000$ which includes the cost of the visits, the prescribed medications and the medical procedures to remove the damaged tissue on her eye.
Flora and I would truly appreciate your help. Being 7 years old, she is at the end of her years (bunnies only live around 7-9 years old) and I would like her last years to be as comfortable as possible free of any pain or discomfort.
We thank you in advance.
~ Lilith (Flora's mom )
