Flood Relief Fund for Holly

Just about 2 weeks ago my mother was forced out of her apartment in the middle of the night due to a fire. She was lucky and lost little and was able to find a home again in a few days. Today, she was forced to evacuate her new home as the "Bomb Cyclone" hit the Boston area quickly flooding her home with nearly 18 inches of ocean water in a few moments. 

Mom had time to grab a few small items, her companion kitty, Jack, and get a few other items up high, hoping they would survive before she had to leave.  Many of her belongings were still on the floor packed in boxes, already destroyed. 

As she left, she discovered her vehicle was already under water, a total loss for which she probably won't be able to recover enough from insurance to replace. It wasn't anything exotic. A second hand van that had been given to her by a family member so my Mom was able to make it back and forth to her doctors appointments and weekly chemo treatments.

My mother is on a fixed  income and is fighting cancer, the financial impact of this disaster is overwhelming. She needs a new (to her) vehicle, she will need first, last and security deposit to rent another place as her landlord has already told her and other tenants the buildings won't be repaired any time soon,  if ever. 

Mom has lost all her furniture and nearly all of her personal items. Some of that she can purchase herself with her income, some of the items were irreplaceable, but she will need financial aid to get anything more than the very basics. 

We'd be grateful for any assistance that you can offer. Right now I'm still unsure what else might be needed as Mom is still processing what has happened today. If there are other things she may need, I will post updates.
