Flooding Damage at Dan's

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Ann. Please help me in raising funds to help Dan after Storm Bert hit in the early hours of 25th November.

At the time we were staying at his place when the sirens went off and we had to evacuate at 3.30am. It took a total of 2 hours from leaving his place to actually getting out of the park
It's been a rough year so far for Dan, at least he has a place to stay in comparison to many others.

His home has became Dan's haven, he moved in just over a year ago and invested everything he had and even took out an additional loan to get the place he hoped he would call home. However this slowly descended into chaos. So far this year the site has been evacuated 4 times due to major flooding. Apparently this is the worst it's been hit since 1998.
The first time was the 2nd January and there was luckily no internal damage initially. However due to not being able to winterise (as he was away at work and the site was closed for several weeks unless you needed essential items) a freeze then burst the water supply and caused over £25K of damage. This was covered by the insurance! It took almost 5 months before it was finally repaired and he was able to move back into his home.
Again in September, the site was evacuated and there was luckily no damage to Dan's place. This was when Dan had reached his limit and decided that selling up was the only way forward. However, it's really hard to find someone who wants to buy a Caravan on a site that is having so many issues with flooding.

Which leads us to where he is now, the hardest hit of them all...

Continuous rain from a major storm had been affecting all of England. Last Sunday at 3:30 am, sirens sounded, prompting an immediate evacuation of the site. From his bedroom window, he observed people hastily carrying their belongings and cars leaving quickly. We managed to gather as much as we could before attempting to leave. Due to heavy traffic and a single exit route, it took nearly two hours to reach the park's front gate. Had there been a significant levee breach, escape would have been impossible. The event was widely reported by news outlets, including the BBC.

We managed to find some drone footage as people were recording. Still clinging to the hope that the situation wasn't dire, that hope faded when he saw images of his neighborhood submerged, his own place utterly flooded. He finds it hard to believe and keeps wishing to awaken from this nightmare. When we returned to the site to assess the damage firsthand, the water lines on his place and shed confirmed his fears. The floodwaters had risen through the doors and vents, rendering his home completely uninhabitable.
We managed to salvage some of his personal items and secure them in a storage locker but the future isn't looking good for his furniture and electricals, it looks like beds, cupboards, stove, and washer, were destroyed and are beyond salvage.

Today, we went in and stripped all the flooring, removing carpets and vinyl alike. The insurance company have said that water damage will no longer be covered by their policy. So Dan has to find the money to repair this himself.

He is grateful that nobody hurt
It's just material but £63K is still a heavy hit to lose.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time
