Its been a tough year for our family.
My Daughters' Sara and Abby share an apartment near Kingwood, TX. The rains here on May 7th flooded their apartment with about 2 feet of water. They have pretty much lost everything, from beds, to dressers, to chairs and couches. Much of their clothes, blankets, rugs, and even a lot of food, etc. have all been lost. I am not even counting Abby's wheel chair, or the electronics.
This follows the passing of Diane, their mother and my wife on March 19th of this year. We are still mourning her and miss her strength desperately, especially with this new tragedy that has hit our family.
When I lost my job about a year ago Diane was my number one supporter in getting my own business up and running, but the new business is still getting started. So I am simply at a loss of how to help Sara and Abby at least be able to get new beds and a bit a furniture.
Abby is disabled and has a limited income of 700 dollars per month which all goes to rent and food and utilities. Sara is back in school studying to become a nurse, so her income is also very limited.
On a positive note, the girls' landlord was able to find an upstairs apartment for them to move into. They just need to be able to have beds/mattresses, some blankets, and maybe a couch to sit on so that they can actually move in. I am guessing maybe $2000,00 would go a long way to getting them the things they need. A friend suggested I try to set up this gofundme account as a way to try to find some help to get the girls on the path to recovery.
If anyone out there can help with a prayer, a thought, or a bit of money, we would all be eternally grateful for whatever it is you are able to do to help us through these times.
