Flood Relief - Mid North Coast

This go fund me page is to raise funds for clean-up and early recovery for some of those most vulnerable and hit hardest by the Mid North Coast Floods. 

There are many needs after a flood, but right now cleaning materials and relief items are a priority. These are things that will help kick-start recovery by providing practical help, reduce infection and reinstate a safe environment. 

 Now is the time to act!  Not after the storm has ended and the sun has come out. Not when the going is easy and the roads are dry.

 The quicker we respond, the quicker our community can recover. 

These funds are to help fill some of the urgent needs. They are to be used promptly and appropriately.  

Help us get to those who need it the most. Help us to provide some comfort out of the storm. Help us to put a smile back on faces.

Background on Wayne Ulrich

My name is Wayne Ulrich. Over the last 30 years, I have worked extensively in disaster situations. I have an international track record of wide-ranging roles in high risk, disaster affected, conflict and war prone countries around the world. I have coordinated responses to countries where disasters have been declared National catastrophes. These include the Indian Ocean Tsunami, Bangladesh and India Cyclones, Philippines typhoons, European and Asian Floods, Chile Flash floods, Volcanic eruptions in Indonesia just to name a few. Other country responses include Afghanistan, Angola, Bosnia, Burundi, El Salvador, Liberia, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan and Sri Lanka.

I have advised international presidents, diplomats and ministers on humanitarian strategy, emergency public health, and disaster preparedness and response. I have dedicated my life to making a difference in the lives of others and I am devoted to use my skills and abilities to bring relief, alleviate suffering and maintain respect and dignity of those who are vulnerable, exposed to danger and at risk of harm.   My personal ethics include values such as: respect, honesty, caring, and fairness. When making a decision, I consider these four values essential, in conjunction with how my decisions and actions might better the community.

I have seen many communities crumble from disasters if relief is not provided quickly and appropriately. I have also seen communities come together and mobilise to achieve a common goal. I believe we can do this at a grass roots level.
