Dave and Kathy Kosak's home in Reedsburg, WI. has unfortunately been hit by three floods in the past ten years. This year on August 29 their home and property were heavily flooded after heavy rains hit the Reedsburg area. On Tuesday, September 4th the flood waters crested again and in a short while more damage occurred. Prior to that, the property flooded in 2008.
The damage is too much to bear and Dave and Kathy are faced with the decision to leave their home permanently or clean it up, either option will be costly. They did have flood insurance for the home but it is not enough to cover the costly repairs or relocate. If they decide to abandon their home and let the government buy it from them they will only receive less than 1/3 of the property's original value before the flood. Currently they are not living in the home.
In addition, Dave has suffered two strokes this year and his wife Kathy a heart attack. They are both some of the most hard working and generous people you will ever meet but this loss is devastating and hard to come back from.
Please help them get back on their feet and give them some hope to start over.
We fully realize that it's a difficult time for many but if you're blessed enough to be able to lend them a financial hand in any amount we would be deeply grateful. The most happy and joyful blessings to you and your family always!
