Florence Recovery for Don & Denise

Help Don and Denise rebuild their home after Hurricane Florence. Hurricane Florence has devastated North and South Carolina.  Don and Denise Jewell live just minutes from Wilmington, North Carolina -- the center of the hurricane activity. Don and Denise do not live in a flood zone, and therefore did not carry flood insurance on their home.  But Florence did not play by anyone's rules.  Their home went 6 feet under water, including Don's home office for his DJ business.  The flood took Don's livelihood AND their home, leaving them homeless and Don unemployed in one fell swoop. Immediate help is needed to rebuild their home and get them back on their feet.  Financial help can be sent from any distance; those local to the area can also help with the following efforts: - Clean up / Debris Removal - Tear down to remove damaged walls, floors, etc. - Dehumidification and Mold control - HVAC replacement / repair - Electrical repair work & inspection - Rebuild walls & flooring throughout the home - Replace furnishings and personal items - Donation of gently used furniture - Replacement business equipment - Temporary lodging - Meals We've set an initial goal of $10,000 to start.  However, this will cost many times that amount.  If we reach our initial goal, please consider donating anyway. Edit: The home previously used as a cover photo was not their home as was noted in the original post. It was a nearby home on their street and was used simply as a reference for how high the water was. Our hearts go out to all the families effected and we apologize for any confusion.
