42 yr old single mother dying of cancer

Donation protected
Hello. My name is Dawn. I'm 43 yrs old & I've battled follicular Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma 10 times in the past 12 yrs. my 3 daughters were only 1, 3 & 4 when this began 2 months after my divorce was finalized. I've now reached a point where the cancer is in my small bowel & my body has been too damaged by chemotherapy to receive anymore chemotherapy. I unfortunately didn't have the foresight prior to being diagnosed to purchase life insurance. Once diagnosed, the cost of coverage was far to great for a single mother with mounting medical bills to afford. I had life insurance through my employer. I became disabled 8 yrs ago during my 4th battle. I was told that the life insurance that I had through my employer would no longer grow once I became disabled, but that it would remain. However, upon contacting them to try to get information on how to consign some of this life insurance to a funeral home so that I could plan my funeral, I was told that I was misinformed 8 yrs ago & that the money went away as soon as I was no longer their employee. So now, not only do I have no money for a funeral, I have nothing to leave behind monetarily for my children. I hate to ask for help, but under my circumstances, pride is just one more thing I can't afford to hinder me. My children do not like the idea of my being cremated. It was never my intention. My entire family has had a funeral with a burial service & a head stone. Funerals are for the living, I know this. This is more for my children's benefit than for myself. I've always felt that this way ( a service & burial) helps to give more of a closure. It provides my children an opportunity ( if they choose to) to visit my gravesite & leave flowers. To talk to me & feel closer to me somehow. I know it isn't NEEDED, but I know their desires & wishes. I want them to have extra left behind to help meet their needs. To help them with the costs of graduation parties, prom dresses, cars when they learn to drive, their wedding dresses when they get married etc. all of the things I'm going to miss. A benefit in my honor is already scheduled. I hope to draw in plenty, but there is so much more to consider. That is why I'm only hoping to raise at least $20,000 although, more than that would help immensely! I hope that doesnt sound too greedy or unrealistic. ive never done anything like this before. Please give what you can. I've fought long & hard & I still haven't reached the finish line in raising them. My heart is absolutely broken & the stress of trying to prepare in the time I've been given is unimaginable. Thank you for reading my story & for any help you can give. God bless
