FLEISCHAUER - "Quien Soy Yo" Debut Album

Hello and thank you so much for being here right now.

This campaign has been created first and foremost with the intention of benefitting all sentient beings by means of music as medicine and, like all art, as a powerful force of transformation and cultural evolution.

Likewise, my hope is to benefit you (fans of my music old and new) by FINALLY bringing to you a full album of the songs you have been asking for and playing on mediocre Youtube or phone recordings for so many years - in professional, fully produced arrangements unlike anything you've ever heard that will blow away all expectations!


The funds raised here will be used for:
- Recording + studio costs
- Production costs
- Editing
- Paying contributing artists (drums, keys, strings/bass, etc.)
- Mixing
- Mastering


The Timeline:
This campaign will run thru 2021 and I will use the funds each month to pay for the album costs.

The goal is to have the finished album available and in your hands and devices by December 2021, but if the funds are available it might even be complete earlier in the year.

Really, it does.

The last 5 years alone I have again and again been moved to my core by messages and videos from people in the US, South America and even in Europe of people dancing to my songs, playing them around sacred fires with their tribe, or messages about singing them in sacred ceremonies and how much these songs have touched their daily lives. 

That has kept me going. And hoping. But I never felt ready until the beginning of this year when Jesus Hidalgo, a renown medicine musician, singer and producer, saw me play live and told me he could not stand that my music was not being recorded and produced after knowing and hearing me for several years. His support, guidance and vision have been instrumental in the forming of my own vision and the materialization of this music into the world.

In the same way, I would not be where I currently am without your support, and the support I have been so lovingly shown in the past several years. The trajectory and success of my music, of how many lives are impacted and changed by this music, depends on you as much as it does on me.

For a little bit I lost my motivation, I felt that the only reason to release my music was to fulfill a responsibility or an obligation to all the people who have heard and loved my music in ceremony and gatherings and have asked for it. 

But I have found myself, and my WHY. This music will be my legacy. The vehicle through which I will share my light and sacred message and leave my personal mark on the world.

It's my dharma, my medicine and my service to the world - how I can know I've touched people hearts and souls and done my part to make the world a better place. 

This legacy - this dharma, service and medicine - this Album will not and would not be possible without you and your support.


Bottom Line
I'm so grateful for you and your life, and for you being here right now reading this. Why "FLEISCHAUER"?

When thinking of a name for my personal music I originally thought of creating something new. My first and middle names are too common (Miguel Antonio) and also don't carry spirit of my intentions.

I thought my last name was too obscure and difficult to pronounce and write to be considered - in fact, throughout my early school years I was ridiculed for my last name.

In a conversation with Jesus Hidalgo, my producer, asked me if I knew what it meant. I did.

Fleischauer is German for "butcher" and, more specifically, "ritual slaughterer". While seemingly grim, especially to someone who's been vegan for many years, Jesus encouraged me to look deeper, and see the resonance of this in my life. Specifically around my spiritual life in Buddhism, shamanism and Christianity.

Like Kali and Vajrakilaya, who wrathfully destroy and consume ignorance, demons and obstacles to enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. Like Christ who offered of himself in bread and wine and willingly gave himself to be crucified to forgive all sin.

With Bodhichitta (compassion) as my guide, my music is an offering of myself, for nothing else in this world is really mine to give. FLEISCHAUER, like in the Buddhist practice of Chod, is an offering of self for the benefit of others, to relieve the suffering of others. When I write and sing I bring my ego, perceptions, my very self and identity to the sacrificial altar, to be cut by the razor feathers of wisdom and grace and distribute it as divine nectar that heals, uplifts, empowers and unites the people of this world bringing music as medicine.
