I’m a mum doing everything I can to rebuild our lives after escaping domestic abuse.

Leaving was terrifying, but it was the only way to keep myself and my children safe. We left almost everything behind, and while we’re finally out of that dangerous environment, we’re now facing serious financial hardship.

We’re currently waiting on a Universal Credit review, but right now, we have no money for food, and we’re behind on essential bills by over £1,000. I’ve tried every possible avenue for help, but the support just isn’t coming fast enough.

I’m staying strong for my children, but we’re barely getting by. That’s why I’m reaching out — not because I want to, but because I have to. We need help to get through this.

Groceries and basic needs for me and my children

Overdue bills (utilities, phone, etc.) — currently over £1,000 behind

A small emergency buffer while we wait for Universal Credit to be processed
