Fleeger Family Medical Fund

On July 20, 2018, our family was unfortunately involved in a car accident. We had been stopped at a red light when another driver failed to stop and rear-ended us. The two youngest passengers, Aubrey (age 10) and Kolten (age 3), were shaken up and sore but fortunately clear of injury. Kiana (age 15) and the mother of the three passengers, Athena, were not as lucky. Kiana was diagnosed with severe whiplash and headaches which require 3 days a week of physical therapy. At week 5 she is still in awful pain and will have a reevaluation by the pediatrician August 20 to see if further tests may be needed. After weeks of doctor's appointments and multiple tests, Athena was found to have bulging discs of the spine and will meet with a spine specialist on September 4th to discuss further treatment. Athena, a stay at home mom, is not able to do her everyday work without pain and struggle. Kiana is a devoted varsity cross country runner and a hardworking  A+ gifted student. She is unable to run without pain, and we are concerned that this injury will negatively affect her academic performance.  While the other driver is 100% liable, we will have to pay any and all medical bills after exhausting the small portion of money from our insurance company, due to Pennsylvania being a "no fault state". Kevin, the father of the family, was already experiencing a reduction of income due to job cuts and change in company ownership, which will make these medical expenses much harder to deal with. With many more physical therapy and doctor's appointments for Kiana and future appointments, testing, treatment, and possible surgery for Athena, the bills start to add up. We have set our goal at an estimation of overall medical expenses. It would be greatly appreciated if you took the time to donate. Any donation, no matter how small, will greatly help us.
