Fleckenstein Memorial

Michael Fleckenstein touched the lives of so many through his music, art and mentorship.  With his loving and devoted wife Shannon and best friend Mike B., they formed the band Bride of Fleckenstein.  The band was invested in Kalamazoo Folk life, raising money for Loaves & Fishes and helping draw crowds to small local businesses.

On November 28, 2020 Michael lost his battle to Covid-19, devastating the local music community and most especially his wife, musical muse & soulmate, Shannon.  Unfortunately, Mike did not have life insurance or any sort of prepaid funeral arrangements.  In addition, Shannon is too young to receive widows benefits from Mike's social security.  Her individual income will not be sufficient for her longterm, to continue living in the home they shared.  Between cremation, living and medical expenses that will soon be rolling in, Shannon will face the possibility of losing her home in addition to her husband.
