Kevin Flavin's Family

Orathai Flavin's husband Kevin had been ill with rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and heart disease for years, but last July he was diagnosed with two forms of cancer. He passed away on October 2, 2019 and left many unpaid bills, including the mortgage on their home, which is currently in foreclosure and schedule to be sold at auction on October 15. His wife Orathai (Bee) works full time, but has just enough to support herself and her son. There are no extra funds available for Kevin's end of life expenses, or to help forestall the auction of the home. In addition, his wife Orathai (Bee) and her son Palm will have to try to find an apartment when the house sells at auction in only two weeks. 

Bee is originally from Thailand; English is her second language and the legal and medical language she's been dealing with have provided an additional challenge. She did not know about of Kevin's financial problems and thought he was taking care of things, and even gave him money to do so, until he became very ill. Now she is faced with not only trying to bury her husband, but losing her home as well.

Bee is trying to get through this herself, but we all need some help once in a while due to circumstances that we have no control over. If we all pitch in we can help her and her son through these bad times!
