<div>Hi, my name is Micheal Allen and I’ve just been selected to represent Team USA at the 2025 IFSS World Dryland Championships in the 1-Dog BikeJoring Masters Class, October 21–26 in Minocqua, Wisconsin.

<div>At 68 years young, I’ll be racing against top competitors from over 50 countries in an extreme, high-speed event where man and dog race as one. My goal? To inspire, motivate, and prove that age and adversity don’t define what you’re capable of.

<div>Less than three years ago, I entered my first BikeJoring race. I barely finished. But thanks to my adopted sister Mikki (a fierce, best-in-the-nation competitor herself), I fell in love with the sport and never stopped pushing forward.
</div>

<div>What most people don’t know is how close I came to never competing again. In 2018, I was diagnosed with heart block—my heart was running at just 35% capacity at under 45 bpm for over two years while I was still training! A whirlwind of pacemaker surgeries, complications, and a near-fatal 252 bpm heart rate led to a final ablation procedure. Somehow, I came out the other side, was cleared by my cardiologist, and climbed back onto the bike.
