Flamenco Esencia takes over bar T de Triana. Will you help us?

Bar T de Triana has always been known for its flamenco. The bar is situated in the calle Betis alongside the beautiful river Guadalquivir. When the owner of the bar stopped programming flamenco in 2016, Flamenco Esencia (being Kati and Maria, two enthousiastic professional flamencodancers) offered to change the concept.
We wanted to create a welcoming space that makes you feel like as if you are in the artists living-room. Not everybody is part of a flamenco family and most people long for that experience somehow. So we wanted to explain about our own experiences, improvise our dances and songs like we do at home, yet offer aswell high quality flamenco and stage worthy flamenco. Normally one of us it on stage as a dancer and host and we always have a great dancer as a special guest too. Most artists are very wel known internationally and normally you would see them in the bigger theatres of the city, or touring around the world to perform at the best festivals. But in Flamenco Esencia we are at home, relaxed, and even feeling emocional about some song or guitarpiece. Everybody loves performing with us, artista feel safe, among family and give their best.
The bar itself is very big and has a nice terrace with the best view on the Giralda tower and the Triana bridge. But inside we separate a part of the bar for the flamenco-evening. Everybody is seated around the stage in a private show. At the moment we can have only 20 guests.
The big news is that now we are taking our next step into making our adventure extra special. WE ARE TAKING OVER THE BAR!!!! So that means we can make it really our own. The artists themselves will serve you your drink, and your plate of ham or cheese or some other local delicacy. Then you get the change to see them on stage and have a chat afterwards. You can meet the artists, who normally will be so far away on stage. Imagine that......
We do need a bit of help because taking over a bar costs money and we don't have enough. We look forward to making this huge step into a new adventure! The good thing is we know the business, we have been there for four years now. We want to be a safe flamenco hide-away for both flamenco lovers from Seville and abroad, and for the tourist who never saw flamenco and just happens to bump into us. With our love and perseverance Flamenco Esencia will stay open, even bigger and better.
All little bits will help. Even two euros will. All bits and pieces will lead to us having our own flamenco space with the most up-close and personal flamenco from Seville.
In case you would donate 22 euros (or 44 if you are a couple) that is our ticketprice. So that means that next time you visit us in Seville, or send a friend on your behalf, you will have free entrance. We will welcome you as the special guest of the evening, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that a tiny part of the venue is yours.

La Taberna T de Triana siempre fue conocida por su flamenco, pero cuando el dueño dejó dr ofrecerlo en 2016, Kati y María han presentado un proyecto y pedido hacerse cargo de un concepto totalmente diferente. Y ha funcionado perfectamente (y cada año mejor) desde entonces. Nuestro proyecto se llama Flamenco Esencia.
Hemos querido ofrecer un flamenco con artistas muy conocidos internacionalmente en un espacio muy reducido. Nos sentamos alrededor del mini-escenario donde ofrecemos bailes, cantes y solos de guitarra, charlas durante el espectáculo y una cercanía que es más propia de un salón de una casa. Único y autentico.
Y ahora se jubila el dueño del bar y ha querido que nosotras lo cogemos!!! Es más, no ha querido hablar con otras personas que le han ofrecido el doble, porque quiere que ese sitio seguirá respirando el calor y la cercanía que nosotras hemos traído allí.
Así que con orgullo, con mucha ilusión nos montamos en una nueva aventura donde ofrecer flamenco bueno, acompañado por un plato delicioso del jamón de la mejor calidad. Nos falta un poco para el traspaso.....
