Flame of Hope Orphanage
Flame of Hope is an orphanage for special needs children in the town of Siliguri, India. Sr Ann Francesca does a wonderful job running the place, but I'll soon be visiting and would love to contribute either some money or a gift.
If you'd be willing to help at all, I'd be so grateful. Even just $2 could cover a hearty meal in India!

'In 2001 Sr. Ann Francesca and Sr. Usha were called to open a home for children with disabilities. Their first home was set up in Kurseong, India, which God provided through Fr. Abraham. As her family grew, they needed another house and a school to provide the children, some of whom would otherwise be left to the wayside, with an education. Both Sisters, the locals and even some of the disabled people from the village all worked tirelessly together to build the houses and school which all now resound with the sounds of laughter and joy.
Our aim is to provide love and hope to the poor and disabled children so that they may 'have life and have it to the full' (John 10:10)
Our main focus is to care for and protect children, mainly those with disabilities who have been abandoned or are not appreciated or loved by their own families. We create for them a loving, homely atmosphere where they can grow, develop their potential and learn the skill that will prepare them for the future.
We also try to arrange medical treatment and intervention to improve the children's physical or mental condition.'
