Please Help Michele Battle Cancer

This is our dear friend, the lovely and talented Michele Rowan George. After numerous attempts to figure out what mysterious illness has been ailing her, Michele was finally given a diagnosis of multiple brain tumors and lung cancer. Naturally, this news is both frightening and overwhelming for Michele and all who know and love her, but she is a lady of exceptional courage and strength of character; and we believe that with your help, we can see her safely through these trying times. Michele is currently gearing up for radiation treatment for the brain tumors, and will undergo chemotherapy when this first round is finished. In addition to conventional radiation and chemotherapy, some experimental drug treatment options are also being discussed to maximize her chances of survival. As these medications are neither covered by insurance or within her budget at present, the $8000.00 we hope to raise would afford her approximately six months of experimental medications. Through her tireless efforts, Michele has succeeded in welcoming hundreds of new members into the Society for Creative Anachronism over the years. Michele is a beloved Mom, Daughter, Sister, and the long-time Companion of her significant other Nathan, who also plays in the SCA as THL Brada Æthelward.
