It breaks my heart writing this - Eric passed away 8:36pm AEST. He had his family by his side and is now at peace. Although he didn't even get a chance to win this battle, his legacy will still live on through all of us. All I can say is please hold your close ones closer tonight, and from here on. Never take there presence for granted and always let them know you love them.
Robyn will need all the assistance she can get in this cruel time, and as mentioned before, all your support has been amazing and will help out so much. Thanks everyone. RIP Eric. You're a perfect example of a happy soul.

Sadly the doctors have now put Eric in a self induced coma to ease his pain. Your continued support is so much appreciated, Robyn needs this more than ever. Xoxo

This is just too amazing. Not even one day and already past a thousand dollars. It's so compforting to know there are so many kind people out there. This is going to help out Robyn and Eric greatly. You are all amazing souls! <3
Campaign details:
This kind man, gentle giant and Star Trek nerd – Eric, 59 years of age, has been struck with a life changing event whilst doing what he has been doing for almost his entire life, working hard to provide and support his loving family.
Eric was suddenly struck with loss of vision in one eye whilst working. With barely a day’s warning he was facing practitioners and specialists trying to determine a diagnosis. In the meantime his health deteriorated, facing memory loss and minor confusion. What came next was heartbreaking for anyone who has ever had the opportunity to be in his presence, especially for his equally kind and loving wife, Robyn. Eric was told he has a brain tumour. After a week in hospital, the doctors advised surgery will be performed in the upcoming days to further investigate and try to remove. Most people would not wish this on their worst enemy, let alone such amazing souls like Eric and Robyn.
Eric has been working his entire adult life, and when I say work, I mean back breaking labour 10-12 hours a day, six days a week in order to sustain the needs in today’s society and bring joy and happiness to the people he loves. No one has heard him say a single bad word about anyone or anything. The positivity he emits is simply beautiful, he has touched the hearts everyone he meets. One could only imagine after such hard work, selflessness and drive, a comfortable retirement is the least in which could be returned.
Unfortunately income is still imperative to live and pay the mortgage, and Robyn has had to step in the shoes of Eric to run the business on her own, 2 hours away from the Canberra Hospital in Batemans Bay. As anyone could imagine, this would be the last thing that a loving wife would want to do whist their husband is in hospital.
Eric has had his surgery and the news is not good, however the hopes of family and friends remain. I feel that Robyn needs some support to help her help Eric in this time of need, to give her a break and allow her to be by his side without the worry or struggle of things back at home. Neither Eric nor Robyn have ever asked for anything in return for anything, they are the couple that just keeps giving. Do not feel like you need to give, however even the smallest investment or even kind words would mean the world for these amazing people.
