Medical Brigade Trip to Nicaragua

Hi, My name is Kaelyn Lane and I am currently enrolled as a Sophomore at the University of Texas at Austin. I have always had a passion for the field of nursing and helping others, so I decided to apply to attend a Global Medical Brigade in Nicaragua. The mission of a Global Medical Brigade is to help increase the access rural communities have to healthcare around the world. Through attending a week long trip to Nicaragua, myself and the other selected students, hope to leave a lasting impact on communities. We plan to achieve this goal by not only giving these communities medicines and immunizations, but also by educating them on how to maintain health long after our departure. Furthermore, I have created this GoFund me in attempt to fundraise for this costly trip.
