I'm not one for asking for help, but on behalf of the Gromlich family I am reaching out to the community. This young family has been through more in the past year then I could ever imagine. As I read her facebook updates and blog my heart has been breaking more and more each day for them. As a young mother myself there is no way that I could ever meet their needs, so I would like to start the giving and pray that others will follow.
Please know that they have NOT asked me to do this and they are completely unaware of this fundraiser.
The Gromlich family -
Abby and Thane Gromlich are a young couple with two beautiful daughters. Their second daughter, Evelyn, was born a few weeks early on Jan. 8th of this year. Sadly, it wasn't until the next morning that Evelyn's health was called into question and she was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia - in plain english, a very serious heart condition that has completely changed their lives.
Evelyn has undergone numerous surgeries and has been on a roller-coaster between critical care, moments where they truly believed they were going to say good-bye to their daughter, and recovery since birth.
In addition, Thane lost his job only a few months after this all began and has been unemployed for nearly 7 months. The parents no longer have health insurance, have been forced to move, are overwhelmed by medical bills and are physically rundown themselves - but are still choosing to smile!
This week was the last straw for me - I want to help. The entire family was driving together when they were hit by another car that was driving without any headlights. The Gromlich's car was totaled, car seats are no longer useable, they all had to be taken to the ER, the other driver fled the scene and turns out she wasn't insured.
Thane now has a serious concussion, among other things, and cannot sleep without supervision. Abby is experiencing back pain and the after affects of whip lash. Thankfully, both children seem unharmed. As of right now, Thane and Abby still do not have any form of health coverage.
Please help me be an encouragement to this young family - they are greatly in need of it!

PS. The amount of $8,000 listed is just to help them provide a car for Dr appointments and maybe, just maybe, help cover a few medical bills.
