Fixing Griffin's Heart

Donation protected
The much anticipated arrival of Griffin Gray Stowe came on 9/5/18!  In the eyes of his adoring parents, Dylan and Kalynn, he was absolutely perfect!  The news this inspiring young couple had received several months prior to little Griff's debut might have some people opting for a different descriptive; but not Dylan and Kalynn.  They knew they were holding perfection that special day and couldn't wait to witness God's great plan for Griff's life.

During her pregnancy, Kalynn learned that her baby boy had Down Syndrome, and a heart abnormality known as Tetralogy of Fallot, a rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth.  She and Dylan were told Griff could possibly require 3 heart surgeries, with the first being immediately following his birth.

Just a little over 1 month old, Griff had his first heart surgery.  Learning of Griff's condition during her pregnancy gave Dylan and Kalynn several months to prepare themselves for his surgery, however they were not prepared for what happened next.  Following his surgery Griff experienced complications and his tired little heart stopped.  The doctors at Egleston Children's Hospital performed CPR for 40 minutes and were able to established a heart beat.  Griff was then placed on a bypass machine to allow him to rest, and for the doctors to access his condition.  They determined the loss of oxygen during the 40 minutes caused damage to his liver, kidneys, and the right side of both his heart and his brain.  Griff is now experiencing seizures, a risk associated with being on the bypass machine.  With all that is happening to this precious little guy, now fondly known as the Heart Warrior, the one constant in his new life is the presence of his adoring parents, who have not left his side.

As they talk to and comfort their little boy, as they hold his tiny little hand and reassure him, as they pray for God's healing and strength, they should not have to worry about the loss of work/income or the mounting hospital bills.  Their energy, time, and love is needed to help their son, Griff so they can take him home to his handsome little 2 yr old brother, Tuck, who's going to be the best big brother ever!

Any consideration you can give this sweet, inspiring young couple will be appreciated perhaps more than you can imagine.  They loved this precious little boy the minute they learned of him, and they know God has amazing plans for their special little Heart Warrior!
