Fix Mila’s Heart

Hello friends! Mila Mae needs help! As most of you know Mila, our 4-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, has had issues with her heart for a couple of years, but we just recently got a firm diagnosis that Mila has a heart arrhythmia called ‘supra ventricular tachycardia with an accessory pathway’. This causes Mila’s heart to get confused and it compensates by beating extremely fast. When this happens, Mila is noticeably uncomfortable, which is hard to watch—I don't want her to suffer like that anymore. The good news is that it’s treatable, but we could really use your help! 

We found a wonderful veterinarian who can fix this for Mila by doing a procedure called a ‘cardiac ablation’ so that she will no longer have to feel like that. Without this treatment, Mila could soon go into heart failure, shortening her life significantly. Dogs bring so much joy into our lives and I feel like it is our responsibility to care for them the best we can.
