Fix Marilyn and Ken's Furnace
Marilyn Frith, 70, has always been a "go to" pillar of the community. Anytime there has been a need, she is one of the first in line to help. Whether it is helping run the food bank in Nashville, or donating her time to help local kids in both Nashville and Vermontville at church events or band camp, she always puts others first. She proved that when she dedicated her career as a paramedic to help save lives for over 20 years.
Her husband, Kenneth Frith, 64 is a man who has been a mainstay in the Vermontville community, having worked at Ken's Standard Station, for over 40 years fixing cars, pumping gas the old-fashioned way and offering support to his customers any way he can.
The two of them have always been there for their community, and now they are the ones who desperately need help in return. They are in dire need of a new furnace for their home and in danger of freezing to death since they have no heat after their 50 plus-year-old furnace bit the dust a few days ago. All that is keeping them from freezing is a small electric heater.
If that wasn’t enough to ruin their day, Kenneth's sister Naomi died just before Thanksgiving and had no life insurance. That meant trying to find a way to come up with funeral costs to do the right thing and give her a proper send off.
Neither of these two wonderful, God-fearing people have ever asked for anything from anyone, but they have given so much to so many others. Please heed this plea for help to fix or replace their furnace and raise funds for Naomi's funeral costs.
Even $5 or $10 dollars can help. We can't let them freeze in this bitter cold Michigan winter! Let's show them our community cares about its citizens, especially those who have given so much of themselves to others. God Bless you all!
