Five Dollar Movement Terrace & Kitimat

Support Local - Join Our $5 Movement! - Whats $5??

After the first lock down, a lot of locally owned businesses where hit hard and were lucky to reopen their doors, however, some were not as lucky.
Locally owned businesses bring employment to our communities and uniqueness.
Business owners feel fear when they think about what's to come, especially if there is another lockdown. They have expressed if there is another lockdown, they probably won't make it this time. This is sad -  especially when the big corporate businesses are raking in all the money and leaving the small businesses behind.
The Five Dollar Movement is to come together to support our locally owned small businesses to help lessen the burden and hopefully help them withstand these hard times.
What is $5???? - $5 can easily impact locally owned businesses positively.
Many people may be financially tight at this time and cant afford a lot, which is fair.
But whats $5?
Is supporting locally owned small businesses in Terrace and Kitimat area by raising funds to purchase gift cards and product from stores to support them.
Between now and December 22 2020 we will be collecting $5 donations. On December 22 2020 we will go around to many locally owned small businesses and purchase gift cards or product to make gift baskets. On December 23 2020 everyone who donated $5 will receive ONE entry for EVERY $5 they donated into the prize draws to win either gift cards or gift baskets.

Please also join our facebook “Five Dollar Movement Terrace & Kitimat”. This is where we will do the live draws for the gift cards and product baskets. If you win you will be able to see and we can also contact you to claim your winnings.

The businesses we want to support throughout this movement is locally owned small businesses! These are the businesses that would most likely be impacted if there is another lockdown or further restrictions implemented that would not allow them to offer their services to the public.
All businesses are equally important as they are essential to everyone making an income to support their families. We would love to help businesses that are more likely to be vulnerable. We are hoping that you will join us and be apart of the movement to help save our locally owned businesses.
We are challenging you!
Even if all you can afford is $5 that is GREAT!! It contributes to helping many locally owned small businesses more then you realize.
Challenge your friends! Let's create a movement
