#ROMFIT is holding a chairty fitness event, Sunday 20th August 2017 in support of the Miller family.
Hi
My name is Haylee Miller.
Recently my family found out that my brother Rhys (21 years old) has gray zone lymphoma. Gray Zone Lymphoma is a very rare and aggressive lymphoma that is often present as a large mass in the mediastinum. It is generally seen in teens and young adults and it is more common in young men.
The day before finding out about Rhys’ diagnosis my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Rhys will be beginning his chemotherapy next week and mum will be having her operation this week followed by radiation therapy.
Rhys is a father to a one and two year old and is the sole income of his household and my mum is a single mum who is having to go through the private health care system to avoid waiting lists so she can be well enough to help and care for Rhys through his treatments. As you can imagine this has been a huge shock to my family and with limited leave from work it will be a financial struggle for us all.
I really appreciate all the support my family and I have been receiving and am grateful to all my friends, family and collegues.
#ROMFIT will be raffling off prizes at the event. You can purchase tickets before hand just speak to a #ROMFITBABE.
Breakfast will be provided after the fitness event. Protein pancakes with the choice of sugar free toppings plus tea and coffee will be available for $5. This is a great opportunity for us to sit down, take a moment to think and connet with others over a meal.
