Fit City Kids COVID-19 Relief Fund

As we were checking off our final “to do” list to finally get our doors open, we didn’t have ‘prepare for world pandemic’ on the list.  Unfortunately, just weeks before what we hoped would be our grand opening, Covid-19 took the world by storm.  Shortly after, Illinois announced it’s stay in place order and we found ourselves in a very tough position.  Some of our main core values are family and team, so it was an easy decision when this began to make sure we were able to take care of our employees.  We decided right away that we needed to keep the great coaches and staff members that make us who we are, and allow us to share our love for fun and fitness with our community. Our need to ensure that we continue to support our staff and their families is paramount, even if we can only continue to support them partially, with reduced pay and continued health care benefits.  With the help of our supporting community, over the next few months we may be able to cover these expenses and stay afloat.


We have applied for several grants along with all of the federal relief programs..  We also have applied for the Payroll Protection Program and hope to see some relief from that, but we have yet to hear any official decision. Unfortunately,  the COVID-19 virus has wreaked havoc on the economy and seriously harmed the service industry. Fit City Kids is no exception. We’ve done all that we can to make ends meet, but now we are asking for much needed help from the community.  


We've set up this covid-19 relief fund so that the community can contribute to the financial support of the Fit City Kids team. Your incredibly generous donation will directly and immediately help us to continue to seamlessly support our staff. This includes staff who have selected healthcare options for themselves and their families,  as well as those staff members who have opted out of the health care program or may have health care elsewhere. Your generous donation will ensure our business stays afloat through this crisis and has the ability to return and serve our community as we intended. We recognize that now is a challenging time for many across the country, but if you do have the to do so, we hope you’ll consider making a donation.


We will continue to leave the Fit City Kids Relief Fund open for any families that would like to donate for the YouTube classes and/or staff funding. We hope to continue to provide classes and team training until the gyms are re-opened.
