Fishtown: Our turn to serve the service industry

Fishtown-
As we all know, we are going through an extremely hard time. Some industries are feeling it more than others - bar and restaurant workers will be feeling the hit greatly. I worked in the restaurant industry for 12 years. It is an industry full of hard working and selfless people with some of the biggest hearts.
Seeing what is happening right now to all of them, and everyone else who is effected by COVID-19 is breaking my heart in so many ways. I know that this will not fix the national crisis that we are going through and will only help a very small percentage of people who are struggling. But every little bit helps. I love Fishtown and I love all of my industry friends and just want to do my part in helping them get through this difficult time. My hope is that other Philly neighborhoods will follow suit, and other people who are passionate about a specific industry that is struggling right now will think about doing this as well.
This is for your favorite Fishtown bartenders, servers, hostesses, bussers, barbacks, cooks, baristas, dishwashers, and others. They help you through your tough days. It’s our turn to get them through theirs. Donate what you can. No amount is too little or too large.
If you are an hourly or tipped Fishtown restaurant industry professional of any kind, please fill out this form so that this can benefit you. I trust that everyone who requests part of the payout will be honest. If you don’t need the money, please save it for the people who do. I am going to cap this at 100 people initially, until I see how well this is doing. If we are on the way to hitting the goal or more, I will open it up to more people! I just want everyone to get a decent payout.
