Fischer Garden Revitalization
It has been a long time coming, but Fischer Middle School in East San Jose is finally renovating its school garden! Unfortunately with growing budget cuts, the school has been unable to maintain the area for many years, and because this is an extra-curricular project, there continues to be a lack of funds available for the renovations. However, the school, with your support, is rallying together to take it upon themselves to make it happen for their students. I am asking for your support, as I know they cannot do it alone. 100% of this project is being funded by the donations collected through this page.
The dedicated teachers and staff are committed to utilizing this living laboratory to enhance students' learning experiences and where the students can be active participants in the learning process.
The Garden Beautification Day is happening on Saturday, March 17, from 9:00am - 4:30pm, and here are the projected expenses:
Soil & Compost = $2000
Plants = $1000
Delivery = $250
Garden bed repairs = $500
Painting supplies = $250
The students and community deserve to have a garden that they can be proud of, and where hands-on, real-life learning can happen.
