Help a Homeless Mom

Sandra is a single mom, she has a 10 year old son. They are homeless. She is a housekeeper at a hotel in Los Angeles, but she is not paid enough to save up for a security deposit plus first and last month's rent. 

We are hoping to raise enough money to get Sandra and her boy in an apartment. Her son deserves the stabilty that any 10 year old boy needs. They need to know they have a safe place to sleep every night. 

We are having a benefit at Flappers Comedy Club on Sept 25th. This GoFundMe will be for anyone who can't make it.

I've never done this before, I want to be as transparent as possible, so everyone knows their donation was used as intended.  I heard Sandra's story on KCRW and was shocked. A mom who works still doesn't know where she and her child are sleeping, every night. 

The more we collect, the more of a cushion Sandra has after she moves in. After the show Sept 25th, we'll take all the $$ we've collected and get her and Isaiah a safe, secure place they can call home.
