WHY DONATE? As donations decline, the need for healthy food increases. With school closures for the year and the the latest extension until May 4th, many Washington families will experience food insecurities. In Washington, 915,000 people are facing hunger with 306,560 of that being children. One out of every five kids in our state don't always know where their next meal is coming from. Every year more than 230,000 Western Washington students participate in the free and reduced-price meal program.  Food Lifeline provides to over 250 food banks, shelters and meal programs in Washington. They typically have volunteers help sort and prepare food for distribution, but due to COVID-19, they have had to cancel all of that. Because of the volunteer group cancellations, they need support to help provide meals.   For every $30 Enough pre-packaged food boxes to feed a four-person family for four days. For every $60 Enough pre-packaged food to feed two families of four - for four days For every $100 More than 1,000 pounds of nutritious produce or the equivalent of 50 boxes of fresh produce to one of our 300 partner food banks, meal programs or shelters. For every $300 More than 3,000 pounds of nutritious produce or the equivalent of 150 boxes of fresh produce to one of our 300 partner food banks, meal programs or shelters Every dollar you give helps! Our goal is to help provide at least 50,000 pounds of food.  WHAT IS FOOD LIFELINE? Food Lifeline is located in Seattle and is a member of Feeding America. Their mission is to end hunger in Western Washington by engaging communities and mobilizing resources. FIRST TEAMS - FIRST is an international robotics organization with programs for students k-12. It inspires kids to pursue careers in STEM as well as teach them leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and real world business skills with an emphasis on community involvement. Top Gun - FRC Team 1294 1294 Top Gun is and FRC team founded in 2004 at Eastlake High School, Sammamish, WA. As a part of FIRST, it is our mission to inspire young people to become science and technology leader and to improve our community and world.  SOTAbots - FRC Team 2557 The SOTAbots team 2557 are made up of 3 schools in the Tacoma Public School District, SOTA- the School of the Arts, SAMI- the Science And Math Institute, and IDEA- the school of Industrial Design, Engineering and Arts. This is their 13th year as an FRC team. Sushi Squad - FRC Team 7461 NeoBots - FRC Team 2903  Stealth Robotics - FRC Team 4089 Stealth Robotics: Providing Snoqualmie River Valley community with creative, hands-on, mentored, ethical S.T.E.A.M education. Practicing Gracious Professionalism and Safety-First in outreach to our school, community and partner schools. We use problem-solving skills and our creativity to build robots that best execute the challenges of the competition given to us. We participate in competition both in state and out of state. Giving our students hands-on experience in business ethics, hardware, engineering, programming, and communication. Our team welcomes everyone and anyone with open arms.   Club Oreo - FTC Team 17161 We are Club Oreo FTC, an all-girls, rookie team from Austin, Texas. We make it our mission to get more kids, especially girls, involved in STEM. We are currently a FIRSTLikeAGirl ambassador for Texas. Spreading the message of FIRST is incredibly important to us and that message is what we go by. We all love being a part of the FIRST family, helping each other, our community, and other teams in any way we can. Otter Chaos - FRC Team 4512 Founded in 2012, team 4512 Otter Chaos is based in Everett, Washington, and consists of students from Cascade and Everett High Schools. Their mission is to inspire the community through FIRST robotics. Robotics of Central Kitsap - FRC Team 3223 FIRST Robotics Competition team in Silverdale, WA. Our mission is to enrich the Central Kitsap area with STEAM.  Bearded Pineapples - FTC Team 11104 We’re an all-girls team located in Kirkland, WA affiliated with Girl Scouts of Western Washington. Our team has been in FIRST programs for 6 years: 2 years in FLL and 4 years (and counting!) in FTC. Helping our community is of utmost importance to us and we’re so excited to have the opportunity to do so! Jack in the Bot - FRC Team 2910 “Thinking Outside the Bot” since 2009, FRC Team 2910: Jack in the Bot, sponsored by HM Jackson High School, is excited to bring the fun and inspiration of FRC to our students, encouraging them to become leaders in the STEM fields.  One of our team's stated goals is to have a positive impact on the community and we are happy to have joined with other teams in our area to support Food Lifeline during this COVID-19 pandemic. This is our first year ever and we made it to states. We love learning and growing through FIRST.  The Revolution - FRC Team 360  Team 360 "The Revolution" - 21 years of inspiring young minds to explore and experience STEM.  Team Confidential - FRC Team 4125 We are Confidential. A nine-year old FIRST program in Umatilla, Oregon. We have teams at all levels of FIRST serving all ages in our small, rural school district. Food security is a major issue in our schools and town and we are excited for the opportunity to be part of helping Food Lifeline.  FalconX Robotics - FRC Team 6662 FalconX is from Pleasant Hill, California, and we have been a team for about four years now. Although we must stay home, there are still ways we can help those in need! Hello World - FRC Team 5683 We have a total of 38 student members, having grown through rigorous recruitment. We split our team into five different sub-teams: Mechanical, Electrical, CAD, Programing, and PR. While everyone is encouraged to try out multiple sub-teams, the students that decide to specialize often take on the leadership role of teaching first-year students. Our mission is to educate about STEM, and work to bring our knowledge everywhere we travel to.  The Spartabots - FRC Team 2976 Founded in 2008, the Spartabots are based in Sammamish, WA at Skyline High School. As a largely student-lead team, our mission is to inspire students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math. Atomic Robotics - FTC Team 3805 3805 Atomic Robotics is and FTC Team based in Edmonds, Washington. We currently have 12 team members in middle and high school, who all share a passion for STEM and connecting to our local and engineering community. Uncommon Denominators - FLL Team 2188 We are the Uncommon Denominators, an all-girl, Sammamish, Wa-based FIRST LEGO League team. As a FIRST team, one of our main goals is to have a positive impact on the environment and our community. Stay safe and stay Uncommon! Nuclear Minds - FTC Team 12351 Team 12351 Nuclear Minds is a 4th-year team from Park City, Utah with 5 members, all in their junior year of high school. As a team, Nuclear Minds strives to improve people's perception of STEM as a whole by helping inspire and empower others to love robotics and engineering. Robototes - FRC Team 2412 We are the Robototes, Sammamish High School's FIRST Robotics Team. Our mission is to provide all members with the opportunity to grow and learn as leaders, learners and innovators, all while growing interest in STEM in our community. Sonic Squirrels - FRC Team 2930 We are the robotics team from Glacier Peak High School and Snohomish High School, started in 2009. One of our goals is to be active in the community, both sharing our passion for robots and supporting it in times of need. Right now, this includes helping ensure families in need.
