Black Panther for Local Youth!

Donation protected
Greetings,

My name is Mike Banks and a long-time resident of Lansing, MI. I believe myself to be a humanitarian, and I find value in helping to improve the lives of others.

I would like to send 120 Lansing children to see Black Panther as a contribution to the
#BlackPantherChallenge campaign.  I have contacted multiple non-profits and child welfare programs in our community to ensure that children can attend through this fundraising who otherwise would not be able to attend the movie.

This campaign was started by Frederick Joseph in New York City, NY to raise funds for children to see the film who otherwise could not.

The release of Marvel’s film “Black Panther” is a rare opportunity for young students, primarily students of color to see a black comic book character come to life in a positive way for the big screen. This representation is extraordinary for young people, especially those who are often marginalized, unprivileged, and underrepresented both nationally and globally. It’s a great opportunity to see someone who looks like them, making good decisions with the support of their community.

**A private screening of Black Panther will be held on March 3rd, 2018.

The proceeds from this campaign will pay for the youths' movie tickets, chaperones, and refreshments.

Cost Breakdown:

$5.00 Ticket

$3.00 Popcorn/Refreshment

**The remaining balance of donations after the movie Experience will go toward the Lansing community.  Rather for school supplies, Foster Care,  Caring about Kids Foundation, and Summer Scholarship.
