Ambulance Service Community First Responders are trained to attend emergency calls in the area where they live or work. Their aim is to reach a potential life-threatening emergency in the first vital minutes before the Ambulance can arrive
My name is Andy and I’m the Co-Ordinator, the area which we cover is from Sutton Bridge down to Walton Highway Across to Stowbridge, South Runcton, Middleton, West Norfolk and back around again.
As you’ll know this is a rather large area for one or two people to cover individually at any given time, This is why we’re currently raising funds to buy a Frist Response Car so this can be double manned allowing us to attend more 999 emergencies in the area.
We’re fully trained by the East of England Ambulance Service, however as volunteers we are totally self-funding an receive no funding from the NHS or Government.
The Target for a Car is £5,000 and yearly running costs of £5,000
