First Response 2 Fashion: PTSD a Black Tie Affair

Donation protected
With the recent events with two fallen Edmonton Police Officers, it highlighted the traumatic events on not only the officers involved but the fringe first responders called to assist. Such as, the EMS members first on scene desperately trying to save an officers life while the entire police family are holding their breath praying that they do. The Doctors and nurses who were doing the same at the hospital feeling guilty because they couldn’t save their life as well. These are extremely traumatic events and we are trying to prevent PTSD from occurring and if it has occurred we also want to treat it to a full recovery.

We want to continue to bring awareness to PTSD and Mental Illness for Our First Responders and Front Line workers, especially after the deaths of the two Edmonton Police Officer’s and during the unprecedented last few years.  Now more than ever, Our Front Line workers and First Responders, are expected to embrace, physically and emotionally, every situation they face in addition to handling the last two years of the pandemic.  All money raised will be going toward the University of Alberta Faculty of Rehabilitation HiMARC - Heros in Mind and Research Consortium where they are working on ground breaking research and therapy for our public service personelle suffering from PTSD. We are looking to gather in person and support our First Responders, the show will go on September 23, 2023.
