FIREWORK TRAGEDY - LOPEZ HOME LOST

Hello everyone.  I have never done a go fund me for personal reasons or for anyone else so this is all new to me.  I know social media is the best way to connect to our friends out there so I am praying that funds can be raised to help this beautiful innocent family.   After I witnessed the tragedy my neighbors went through last night I knew I needed to help in anyway possible.  For those of you who know me I live in Hacienda Heights, CA (born and raised).  Fireworks are illegal here in Hacienda Heights, but that doesn't stop people from doing them.  Unfortunetly while the Lopez family was settling in to sleep for the night,  which included 2 babies in the home they got a pounding at the door with a man yelling to get out of the home.  A firework had caught the house on fire and was spreading fast burning through 4 of the family cars incuding one new one. Within seconds this family got themselves out, but were unable to go upstairs to get the 5 cats and pet lizard. They were able to rescue the 2 dogs who were in the backyard. Thank God the family is OK , but I stood in front of this burning home watching the family members in total shock seeing their home burn down.  I imagined in that moment what it would feel like to know your animals were still inside. I remember the moment that the firemen brought 2 cats outside.  One of the cats eyes and leg was burned and they both clearly were suffering from the smoke.   I found out this morning the one cat did lose one eye.   Also found out that out of the 5 cats one did pass away, and the 4 others are in critical condition.  I will never forget how sad I felt when the mother of the baby didn't even have formula to feed the baby....just imagine everything lost.  The majority of the house was burned down.  The family is now living in a hotel and has to board their animals in the mean time. While we go on with our daily lives this family has to rent cars to drive, find cothes to wear, food to eat, and also make sure that they are OK as smoke inhalation is dangerous to all.  Thank God their lives were not lost and they have each other.  The family has not and did not ask me to do any of this.  I am doing this because I look at everyone in my community as family, and we have to come together when unforseen tragedy occurs.   As one person, I can only do so much.   As a group we can make change.  To create a number that would replace a family home, 4 cars, family pets, and decades of memories was impossible.  I decided to imagine that almost everyone on my Mariachi Divas De Cindy Shea fan page donated $2.00.  This would get us beyond my goal of $40,000.00.
I ask you now from the bottom of my heart to please donate for this beautiful family.  God Bless and remember that we can make change as a group and as a community.  We can all help to make a difference.
