The Catnip Hale supporting the firecats of Maui

Aloha,

My name is Jennifer Rikert and I run The Catnip Hale cat boarding business from Maui. You may have helped me raise money when I went to Australia to help with the brushfire victims in 2020. I have turned my 6 bedroom home into a refuge for rescued pets that survived the Maui fires. Currently, we are fostering one cat that was attacked by some animal and is up for adoption. We are also sponsoring a family who just got out in time from Front Street with 5 of their 9 cats and 1 of their 3 giant tortoises. The level of grief that this family who previously ran their own animal sanctuary is incomprehensible when you listen to their harrowing story of escape. I am offering their pets a sanctuary in my home while they arrange for a way to fly their entire family to Florida. Any donation is greatfully accepted. I will also post an amazon wishlist for pet supplies that will be used during the transition, then donated to the Maui Humane Society after the mission is completed.
