<div>I feel extremely grateful to be back to full health, and back 'on the run'. This was due to the excellent surgery team at Bedford hospital (who used a robotic arm to assist in the surgery), and the Fire Service Charities rehab centre in Penrith.

<div>Recently, I’ve been planning a way to raise money for both the ‘Fire Service Charity’ and the ‘Bedford Hospital Charity’, who paid for the robotic arms in both Bedford and Luton hospital. <div>The best idea I’ve come up with is a 5K race at Bedford Athletics Stadium. I will run the full 5K, against multiple Bedfordshire fire service teams who will be running 400M legs as a relay team.

<div>The ‘race’ booked for 26/07/25. Obviously it’s not really about the contest, it’s all about raising money for the charities while having some fun! 50% of the money raised will go to the Fire Service charity, and 50% to the Bedford hospital charity. I plan to have a burger van there and the tracks bar will be open, hopefully we can turn it into a fun evening/community event!
