Fire Rescue for Brenda and Pets

My dear friend Brenda Iovino, kind soul, itinerant playwright, and animal lover, was struck by tragedy yesterday as her home in Tres Piedras, New Mexico was destroyed by fire.  It took firefighters 40 minutes to reach this remote area in the high desert, by which time the house was fully engaged.  Brenda lost EVERYTHING, including her beloved cat, whom she was unable to reach because of the smoke. 

Brenda is retired and lives on her earnings as a writer.  This was her dream house, and now everything she worked for her entire life is gone. She has a blind horse, Naboor, whom she cares for and supports, and several wonderful rescue dogs, who were fortunately able to escape. 

Brenda literally has nothing left and nowhere to turn. If you could find it in your hearts to give a little to start my friend out on the path to rebuilding her life, please give. No amount is too small. Brenda is a wonderful, kind person who deserves help. As we all know, there is no safety net for the single retired person.  Please consider giving to help give Brenda and her animal friends a safe haven and a new start.
