<div>Hello, my name is Elizabeth. I am from Pasadena, California originally and now live in Oakland. I am raising money for my family whose house burned down in the Eaton Fire, which started on the evening of January 7th and is still raging as I write this. <strong>My family is comprised of my older sister who bravely battled and beat breast cancer only a year ago, my 81-year-old mother who has congestive heart failure and is visually and mobility impaired, and my 17-year-old nephew who is amazing and will be graduating from high school this year.</strong> As far as income goes, my sister is still at the tail end of her cancer recovery and is not working at the moment, and my mother, a retired social worker who worked until recently with those with special needs, is living on social security. <strong>They were renters and did not have renter's insurance, so they literally lost everything.</strong> When they evacuated, my mother said she was only able to grab her medication, nothing else. The funds will be spent on purchasing every necessity you can imagine.
