Fire Relief for Jack

My good friend Jack woke at midnight to the thick smell of smoke. He jumped out of bed, threw on some clothes, grabbed his phone & keys and ran out the door.  

There was no warning, no siren, nothing to alert him that the 70 mph winds had whipped the Thomas Fire into a frenzy that would barrel down the Ventura hills & devour everything that had been his Life.

He drove through flames, leaving behind simple basics like glasses, prescriptions, holiday gifts, papers and a home & life he absolutely cherished.
